outside the studio on catharine and South Sheridan Streets, around 2:00 PM. charcoal on newsprint paper. i think i like the composition, but there is something out of place about it. i think it may be the perspective and the relationship with the other objects. i’ll eventually sort this out, but anyway, what attracted me to this spot is how the sunlight seems to be streaming from behind the buildings and the tree, and gushing out through south sheridan street onto catharine street.
